Its been a good week for blading

It's been a good week for getting shit done. So, the post before this I announced the completion of The Blade Book Vol. 1, which I'm still really excited about and now I have some more goodies for you internets.

This is an edit of myself and long time homie Thomas Martin skating the Fountain Ledges. Its nothing crazy, just 1 minute of fun with me and the mountain man:

Also, right after SOMO dropped I edited this Day in the Life with Adam Mcmanus. I think originally it was supposed to be for Quinn Feldman's Chosen Few website, but just never wound up coming to fruition. So, here is 11 mins of Adam.

This edit definitely focuses more on the personality more than the skating, but if you're interested to so the dude in everyday life...this is pretty close, minus the post blade brew. Anywho, enjoy!

Blading this weekend for sure, hit me up!

The Blade Book

The blade book...is finished!

This book is comprised of 80 pages of the best flicks from my last 5 years of skating. You can click HERE to get a preview and order. Or just look on for the preview:

They are $35 a piece + shipping and keep in mind that I haven't, and won't, make a dime off of this. I just wanted to construct a physical book to keep some of the best memories I've had together.

But still I'd love for you to have one, it'd be cool to one day show up at your house and have my book sitting on a coffee table. (which this is great for btw)

Anywho, all rambling aside, view, purchase, enjoy!

Shredfest 2010

This comp went off with a bang. We had a grip of people there and tons of prizes to give out and I can't tell you guys how happy I am with the way it turned out.

Rollerbladers from Georgia, North Carolina, and all the local homies came together and skated all day and I am so happy they did.

So firstly, thank you to the sponsors for donating all the product and help that you provided with the comp, you made it awesome and I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to Eric for letting us host the comp at your park.

Secondly, thanks to all the homies that judged, skate, and/or showed up, that was really awesome.

And thirdly, thanks Johnny Ray for letting film the comp with his camera and Tyler Wade for being the best MC...and I guess Rob Mcmanus, because Tyler says you're worthy of some praise, so good job douche.

The Results broke down like this:

3rd: Jon Cooley
2nd: Phil Gripper
1st: Thomas Martin

Best Trick: Riley Hilsman

The homies at ONE are hosting the edit, so go check that out HERE.

Thanks again for everyone that came out it was so much fun, lets do it again next year.

The entire rest of the weekend was so awesome. A little bit of skating was accomplished...I even got a couple clips and we finally compiled enough for a Mcmanus park section which should be dropping soon.

Also, rumor has it that I'm coming into an HD camera which means video times are near.
Blade times next weekend, peace!

Happy Late July 4th

Super quick update...GO!

I injured my ribs the other weekend falling on a handrail so I wasn't able to do much skating this weekend. But after a short/fun sesh with Riley and Johnny, we headed out to the Greenville side of town for good times and brews...all were found.

On July 4th, (America wooo!) we got up sort of late from the previous nights festivities and met up downtown with Thomas Martin, and Adam Mcmanus. After a couple beers, Thomas found a spot he wanted to snap a quick flick on, and man did he:

Fresh off beers and Italy, Thomas laced this pretty crazy fishbrain:

And Adam was on the lighting crew for me:

And here's a nice product shot of the Thomas' man blades:
Man Blades

After that we had beer/pool times and ended the night at Mcmanus' with more brews and a late night.

So don't forget, i'll probably repost this a couple times next week but the Shredfest is this Saturday and you have to come out and have a good time:
