80th Post!

I'm pretty sure I finally found the song for Tim's section...it's a secret but it took me for forever to find and I stumbled on it by accident.

Moving is going good, and I'll be out this Saturday. Holler.

Poop

I have to move again. I swear I have the worst character judgement, right when you think you know somebody...

Oh well, live and learn I guess.

But this may put a bit of a damper on the video, by like a week or so, so nothing major.

But anyways, I'll update when I have some more to talk about.

Busy and Dizzy...

...from the spin. I've been hard at work with Southern Motion and trying to get these sections edited up right.

I've been sort of running around like a chicken with my head cut off (a little frazzled by all the work to be done) but I've decided on a work flow and it's helped tremendously.

So, not really any new news, besides the fact that I'm stoked on doing all of this. And things are coming along nicely.

I'm hoping to have all the editing and video treatment wrapped up by next week, its been taking a bit longer than I thought it would. And then of course after all that, it'll be time to animate soo stay tuned.

Also, Carolina's Mega Session in Greensboro this Saturday the 30th, so be there!

Stay Fresh.

Nothing But News

Well, I've yet to update anything this week, between the Roc City kids on they're Stretch Tour stopping through and trying to get SOMO underway, I've been so very busy.

As of right now I have Montre's little 2 min section edited, and Adam's full length section edited.
Last night I came to the realization that I need to start getting some of these animations done, and so I starting boarding a couple looks for Montre's. It's coming along nicely and I'll post something when I have a look closer to the finished product.

That's all for now, blading this Sunday. Holler.

Southern Motion Preview Clips

So I've been unable to update anything video for the past forever so here are some preview clips to give you an idea of what's going on.

When I'm done editing all the sections and have a completed video, I'll be putting out another trailer, until then, enjoy.

Anywho, peep game:

Viewer Analytics

Soooo. You may or may not know, I have this bad boy set up with Google Analytics to track visits/site references for this blog. I thought it might be interesting to post the areas with the most views!

Here is an overall Overlook of the U.S. and who is looking. The darker shades of green represent a larger number of views.

There are a couple clicks from overseas as well, mainly in London, Buford, Manchester, and Bedford.

And here are the top 3 states with the most views:

#3 - Georgia - (Duluth)

#2 - North Carolina - (Boone)

#1 - South Carolina - (Columbia...I see you Smiley)

And all I have almost 50 views coming from Dallas, I thought that was pretty cool:

So don't be afraid to drop some comments or love whether they're likes or dislikes, I'm always open to feedback and I know you're out there! haha I'm planning on doing this every so often, and hopefully in the future, when SOMO is done, I can do some sort of contest like whoever has the most clicks in there area will get a copy of the video...or something like that, I'll have to see how that goes.

Also, thanks for looking, knowing that people are actually at least clicking on the site keeps me juiced to keep everything updated. So thank you and stay tuned!

Blading Tomorrow!

Logo Mojo

Alright! So last night I finished up my company Logo in Illustrator and it made me realize how badly I need to learn that program better...but regardless check out what I got!

Difference Productions

I put it on a couple different backgrounds and switched out some colors to give it more versatility. I'm pretty stoked with the way it came out and I'm looking forward to using it in my upcoming projects.

Oh and check out this awesome picture of Adam Mcmanus:
All American Blade Dude
I found that funny.

Anywho, its the weekend, and tomorrow I'm planning on working on the trailer a good bit so stayed tuned, I'm really hoping to have this thing done by next week. Almost all the video is edited and all I have left is the animated tidbits.

Also, Mike Torres from Roccityskate.com is touring through the Carolina's, with his entourage, for their coast to coast road trip. If you haven't read up on the story yet, do so at roccityskate.com. And come out to blade! They'll be in Charlotte this Saturday and Greenville on Sunday so it should make for a good weekend.

Holr.

Grinding on the Grinder

So. As you probably already know, my dude Tim Taylor, got 3rd at the Pow Wow, I was pretty juiced to here that, so good job Mr. Taylor.

Over the weekend/past few days, I've been working on the 2nd Southern Motion Trailer and I think its coming along pretty nicely. The lineup has changed a bit since the first trailer, I'm not getting a profile and I've added Phil Gripper to the line up, all in all it's making for quite the video.

I realize that I really should be working on the sections and editing them, but I'm really stoked to put something closer to the final product out, plus this is really going to help me tie together the graphics I plan on having in the video. I'm starting to get a million ideas of what I want to do all over again and I've been trying to keep track of them in my little sketch pad I carry around.
Check out my sweet Art Skills:

Also, for the past few months, for some reason, I've been really concerned that I don't have a logo for my production company (Difference Production) so I've been working on this guy trying to get it just right, and I think I'm finally at the point that I'm ready to make a vector file ready for print/high res animation capabilities.

After I'm done with it in Illustrator, I'm going to work on a couple of different color schemes for it to be used in different occasions, other than just on black.

Other than that, I'm just staying busy.

Blade Fest 08 on Sunday.

Hollerrrrr.

Goodies for Good Dudes

Free shit.

Read on.

SOMO extended Trailer, 10 copies. Somebody from the Greenville Crew will have them, so find them if you want one.

The DVD has the following sections on it:

SOMO Extended Trailer
SOMO Trailer 1
Adam Mcmanus Chimera Edit 1-2
Adam Mcmanus Valo EB 1.3 Edit
Tim Taylor Denial Park edit...I think.
Inman Final Session Edit
End of Biters Edit

And another one I think....There are also like 4-5 copies of handmade that will be given out as well so keep on the lookout for Adam and he should be able to direct you to them.

It's not the final product in anyway shape or form, its basically some of the highlights in Southern Motion just to kind of remind people the video is still coming out, so nothing fancy, just dope skating.

I'm taking the weekend off because I've been busting my ass for the past two getting shit done. But the hustle will continue this Tuesday. I'm hoping to get some chill skating in this weekend despite everyone attending the Pow Wow, which will be awesome.

But that's all for now, have fun if you're going, come skate if your not. holler.

Broke and Busy

Negative $300 in the bank account and two weeks until payday. BOOYAH! hahahaha Sometimes you're just so broke that all you can do is laugh. I honestly have no idea how I'm going to pay bills and fund the production of this video at the same time. But hey, we've all been there and something will come through...hopefully.

Anywho, I've been working on completing the Extended Trailer that's being shown at the Pow Wow and I'm making some really good headway. I've got the whole thing editted, totaling 3:25 and I'm pretty stoked on it. There's alot of really good skating that I'm working with right now and its keeping me really excited to finish SOMO up. So after I do a little video treatment and make up some titles for it, it'll be ready to go and on its way to the Pow Wow for your eyes.

Adam came over the other day to shoot his interview for Rolling Revival, and check out the footage we'd be sending them/his section. We got a good decent length interview happening for them and have some really awesome footage we're sending them so hopefully, they'll put together some fire for your dome, be sure to keep on the lookout for that.

After I send off the Extended Trailer for the Pow Wow, I plan on releasing the 2nd SOMO trailer, long overdue, with all new footage. All in all I'd really like to release 3-4 trailers just to kind of keep people excited, but with how busy I'll be, we'll see how that goes.

Also, I've completed the DVD booklet, finally, minus one picture on the contents page that I should be shooting sometime next week. I'll definitely post some pictures when I have a final product ready. I'm really stoked about this aspect of the video and having it done is a really big deal for me.

From the get go, I wanted this to be a really in depth, and involved production. And with interactive DVD menus, animated titles, a DVD booklet and 5 profiles, it has proven to be the challenge I was hoping for. There is still so much work to be done, all of which I'm excited to conquer, but seeing everything come together finally after a year of shooting and traveling is just a really awesome feeling.

So just know that lack of posts doesn't mean lack of work, it just means I'm extremely busy.

I'll probably update again Friday, but if you don't get to it. Have fun at the Pow Wow!

Represented Aftermath.

Represented

Wow, where to begin. This was such a crazy event filled with tons of amazing people, wonderful sounds and new sights.

After a 5 hour drive I arrived a small hole in the wall place for this Represented festival, not knowing what to expect or who to speak with, I approached a couple people to try and find out what the deal was with this place and who was running it. To my, and others, surprise, this event was ran by the individuals themselves. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical but proceeded anyways.

So after making contact with a couple people there I headed out to wait for this thing to kick off and get a beer.

A few hours pass and its almost 6, so I decided to head back and see if anyone else had arrived, and much to my pleasure a few people had, in particular, Arielle and Christine who were kind enough to supply me with alcohol and good conversation while waiting for everyone else to get there.

Shortly thereafter, my friend Lucien arrived and we discussed a game plan for interviewing people for this documentary. After a rough outline of our plan we get into action and the fun begins.

From DJ's to artists, to just people making noise, there was something there for everyone and it seemed like everyone had something to say and that was amazing. In reference to the event, we got a lot of really positive feedback and appreciation from everyone we talked to and had some amazing conversations with very intelligent/funny/interesting individuals.

Being from Greenvile, I had no idea the lack of culture Myrtle Beach had. From every single person we talked, the one repeated thing we kept hearing, besides the request for the mysterious identity of the represented host, was how the Myrtle Beach area had nothing like this for artists alike to really get there media out there, whatever type of outlet it may be.

So I guess, to spare the nit picky details, it really was an amazing unpredictable event that brought out alot of talent that was I felt was represented and showcased very well. I hope to see more of there in the future.

Also, I shot about 3 tapes of footage, along with some pictures down at the bottom, and in the next week or so I'm going to go through the tedious task of importing and editing some of it for a sort of Trailer for the finished product. I'm hoping to have the trailer out in the next 2 weeks, but due to my currently hectic schedule, that is always subject to be pushed back.

So for the next month I'll be putting all of my efforts into completing Southern Motion which, for those of you who don't know, I've been working on for the past year.

So stay tuned, because you never know what may pop up.
