Happy Halloween Dudes

So, David Sizemore's Solo Collective Edit dropped today, and is quite sick. I helped with the motion titles in the beginning:

I've really become a fan of David's skating and can't wait to see more from this dude in the future.

Also, my favorite ILLustrator, Chris Piascik (whom runs a really awesome clothing company called Print Brigade) and Will Bryant have released this awesome Magazine of Illustrations called the Hallowzine! and it looks really awesome and only cost $8 so head over to Chris' website and check it out, and if you can spare the cash, pick a copy up and support a talented dude.

I think that's all the shit I have to share with you today internets. Southern Motion is still for sale, so if you haven't got a copy, definitely do so, because for every copy I sell, one of those dollars goes into an account that buys a poor guy food, just keep that in mind.

Blade dance this coming weekend!

Busy Still

Well this week I've been focusing alot of attention on finishing up these Titles for the RB Online Jam "The Solo Collective" which is cool because I love getting projects done haha. But because of that reason, I haven't really had alot of time for anything else. However, David Sizemore's section is apparently dropping on the 31st (of October) so stay on teamtrs.com and keep your eyes peeled for that, because that kid is good.

I only have like one day off this week, but I'm really hoping to get to some editing with this online video project this week. I have alot of fun ideas for the next installment, so that's promising.

That's all for now, I'll try and update later this week with something for you dudes to look at.
holler.

I am slammed...but not the good kind.

So, I've been soooo busy this week that I haven't really done anything but work, but it was my good friend John Rhineheart's birthday this past weekend and I made him this poster to celebrate his 23rd year of breathing:

Jon's Poster Jam

Happy birthday buddy!

Work is going to be crazy this coming week and I'll be covering alot for the other guy as he's having a kid, so posts may be scarce and weird...but stay tuned, I've got some gems planned.

110: Online Video Part I

Ok, as promised, here is part one of the Online Video I'm making, I hope you enjoy.

I would recommend starting the download now and reading the rest as your waiting for it, cause at 17 mins, its a biggin'. Also, I'm usin h.264 compression limiting it to 1000kb/per second and its 249mb, if any of you know of any genius ways to get it smaller (thats what she said) definitely leave a comment with the knowledge.

Online Video Pt. 1 from David on Vimeo.

DL it Here (249mb approx 17 mins long)

This video is comprised primarily of footage that wasn't used in Southern Motion so its nothing amazing but there is still alot of really good skating, from some dudes you'll definitely know.

Every year or so I try to make little tribute edits to my friends and I haven't done one since the Friends Edit about a year ago, so I'm hoping this bad boy makes up for lost time and provides you with some visual rockers and lulz.

Also, good bud Adam Mcmanus and I have been doing the blade thing lately and we came away with two pretty sweet shots this weekend.

The LE Say Word 4 Tie Die Joint
Do You?

And the trick, Fishbrain to drop BS Royale
Adam Mcmanus

Also, Adam was recently listed on the Valo Support Team on their website which is well deserved and awesome, so go over and check that out and support dope companies that make dope products.

Also, Footage Tape Premiere is this weekend and I'm really stoked about it, I helped with the Open and other graphical elements and the final product is finally together as of this weekend, so try and make it to that for sure.

If you don't know what FT is read on, I stole this from the Premiere page info:

"For those of you who know nothing about it, FootageTape is a High Definition online rollerblading series brought into your world by myself (Jamie Olmstead) and Kevin Dowling . We have been working very hard on the first episode for a few months now and we hope to release 2 more before christmas.
Episode 1 is bangeriffic and flossy featuring skating from Greenville, SC, Tallahassee, FL, Chattanooga, TN, Atlanta, GA, and New York mother flipping City! Featuring skating from the likes of Adam Mcmanus, Tim Taylor, Rob G, Montre Livingston, Michael Braud, Julian Bah, Billy Oneill, Chris Smith, Walt Austin, David Sizemore, Jon Ortiz, Adam Ehalt and more! Super crispy."

That's all for this week, I have some freelance to get done in the upcoming week, so I may not update next week, but then again, I do lie alot, so stay tuned!

I'm going to go ahead and say there may not be any updates this week. But, because of my slack, I'll definitely have the online video part 1 ready to go on Monday.

Also, I had originally intended to create/release a new edit every week, but in light of recent discoveries, I've decided to go in a different direction...let me explain.

Over the past 5 years of my tenure here in Greenville, I have been on numerous amazing blade excursions, most of which I documented digitally with my camera, and have massed somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-400 gigs of awesome adventures with my friends.

Now, I originally planned to release some sort of new/old edit a week because I still have a ton of left over footage from Southern Motion, but, the other night I sat down and started editing a section and before I knew it I had already edited 10 mins of really awesome footage. After I realized just how much work I'd done, I decided to go through all of that footage and see if there were some other gems, and boy were there. There were so many things that I filmed and planned on making edits of that just never happened, but now that I have some time, I plan on making an online video of sorts.

Much like the mighty Vibralux Online Video, I want to release this thing in sections and eventually as a whole. There will definitely be alot of skating old and new, including but not limitied to our Lousiville Trip, ATL day trip, Columba/Charlotte Mega Session, Hickory blade day, etc, but there will also be alot of stupid and funny things in between, because in all honesty, in between the skating, thats how we spent our time. There may be a couple clips you've seen before in older edits but I think for the nostalgic sake, it'll be ok.

So in finality, I'm really excited to finish this and really juiced for everyone to see it.
So stay tuned becasue I imagine the posting of this thing will be quite spontaneous.

Blading this weekend.
