Alright so I spent another 3-4 hours with my friend Tyler trying to get the computer to work and still no dice. So I'm going to have the graphics card tested tomorrow to see if that is the problem and if it turns out it is, my computer problems are over! But judging by how things have gone, the glass is seeming a half empty.
This weekend was really awesome for skating though. Saturday rained all day so we went up to Extreme Days, our rainy day spot and did some blading. Adam and I finished filming for his next web edit and I got a bunch of really awesome clips of David Mefford and Joey Adams, two rising stars here in SC.
On Sunday, Jeremy Lister and I met up with Nick Bates and did some skating in his neck of the woods. He took us to these hidden industrial spots where we found this behemoth-like metal structure:
I was really excited about that picture and we got the video to go along with it.
About the time we were heading to the next spot, we met up with Joey, David, and Michael and got the session going the right way. This spot was a basically perfect 12 stair rail that these gentlemen destroyed. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics to show but I got some amazing video to pass along when things are up and running.
You know how one of you're friends tells you they don't know what trick to do, so you jokingly suggest some outlandish trick with an incredibly long name like full cab truespin negative topside mistrial? Well you can't joke around with David like that...and I'll just leave that spot with that story.
The last spot we skated was this awesome school both Nick and I had always known about but never took the time to explore. Going here was the best idea and a great session ender, perfect ledges, perfect kink rails, stunts, piddly blade stuff...it had litterally something for everyone. I think I got footage of just about everyone skating there and Joey and I got this pretty sweet fishbrain pic:

Computer is Close...
I spent 4 hours inside a computer store today...shit sucked, but I found out all I really need to do now is re-install windows and I should be up and running.
Exciting stuff.
Also, I went and saw Vetiver, which is a band that I've known about for a really long time but just haven't spent alot of time listening to. After this show, I'm definitely brushing up on some of there music. This is the record cover off their self titled debut release, I've always dug the artwork:

Anywho, I'm moving into another new apartment on the 1st...April fool's day, I'm hoping this isn't some sick elaborate joke, and by then, hopefully, I'll be back up and fully functioning.
Blade time this Sunday.

The Week After...
So the Carolina session was amazing, hammers were dropped all day with very few injuries and we ran into absolutely no trouble mobbing around places with the 30-40 people that were there.
I initially thought that with so many people that we would never be able and we would be getting kicked out of places left and right, but things just went so smoothly and I'm pretty sure everyone had alot of fun for the almost 8 hours we were skating.
I shot alot of video but won't be making an internet edit because I realized how much I still need that footage and my computer is still not working...even with the new motherboard. I'm very sad about all this.
But amidst everything, I did manage to shot this decent photo of Mr. Adam Roberts before he 5'ed out of this Topsoul:
Other than that the weekend ended easy with some chill time with the folks and a few beers.
So the word is I guess that the next Carolina's Mega session will be on April 25th in Columbia, so mark you're calendars and tell you're friends, it'll be another really dope session.
Holler.

Rainy Weekends
I swear, it has rained almost every weekend of 09. And despite the fact that it keeps us indoors and stops us from shooting alot, we do get to skate alot of park and have alot of fun.
This past weekend was just that. After a short session at No Name Skatepark we went to the only covered spot we have in Greenville just to finish the day out...or so we thought.
And Adam actually landed this trick a while back for his section in The Dirty Show but I thought it would make a cool shot so...here:
On Sunday, I met up with Jeremy Lister and Dustin Hinson to skate Ximeno Skatepark. It was a sick session and after a short food break we all came back to get a couple flicks of my dood Dustin:
This was pretty much the end of the day and another rainy, but fun weekend.
Got an email saying the motherboard has been shipped, so it should be back this week...hopefully it works this time.

Charlotte Days
So its about 1 in the afternoon and we're all waiting on Adam (as usual :) at a Subway in Gaffney when we get a call talking about going to Charlotte. At first I don't think anyone was really into the idea, but as soon as Adam and Duncan got there, they wooed us with there Charm and we were off.
This trip turned out to be amazing and quite possibly one of the best ideas we've had all month. Kenny and crew had a ton of really fun spots already picked out, so the sessions were fun and productive all day long, not to mention I 450 royaled a log out of a makeshift bank...well sort of. haha
The last spot of the day was this infamous pool in Charlotte that I'm sure you've seen in some of Kenny's Say Word videos. So many amazing tricks happened at this spot, it made for great footage and one decent picture of my buddy Nick.
That night, however, Nick stayed and helped me move out of my apartment, and we somehow managed to tie my gigantic couch to my tiny car and got it to a friends house...true southern ingenuity:
Also, make sure you do not miss the Carolina Mega Session on March 21st, CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS. This should be pretty awesome so do not miss it and tell all your friends.

Blading the Elements
Well my motherboard hasn't been sent off yet, things have just gotten so crazy but hopefully i'll be hitting that up tomorrow. I'm pretty sad that I'm still computerless almost 5 months later :(
This weekend however, was great. I didn't get to do too much filming, on account of the crazy/unusual weather, but I did get to do alot of skating and took a couple of pics of some sweet park blading.
On Saturday we went to this gem buried in the small Town of Gaffney, SC know as Xtreme Days its crazy, they don't have a phone, and their website crashed so the only way to contact them is through myspace where you can find pictures, directions and information, what have you. The location isn't that bad, its not far from the interstate, its just really easy to miss if you don't know what they're looking for. Anywho, there is alot of fun stuff there that definitely makes it worth the trip so if you're ever passing through the Carolinas or in search of something fun, check them out. And Check out these sweet pics:
And for cereal this time with this really clean air...hippie clinch?

When Johnny isn't rippin up the ramps, he cares for underprivileged animals, what a stand up guy:

Smiley Laced this really clean Topsoul:

And this really clean AOTP:

I got to skate alot too, so I got Johnny to shoot this flick of me jumping into the quarter:

Tim Taylor laced this really clean misfit:

Tim also did this really crazy quarter to wallride drop in manuever...the long way:

Lane Shilling, local Inman native threw down this really really clean parallel 5...at least I think that's parallel. haha:

and the Rainy Day crew (minus Johnny, Tim and Tyler)

There are a couple more great pictures on my flickr so check that out if you get a chance.
So Smiley and myself are awoke by Jeremy to the tune of food and more skating. Since it was still raining, we did some more skating at local No Name Skatepark and had good times. Most of us were pretty sore so we didn't do anything that was really worth shooting but it was a good session and fun was had by all. The session however, was cut a little short because, somehow, it snowed here in South Carolina, and alot more than the little slush we're used to.
So after a long trek home, we decided that Smiley should Topsoul this rail that is close to my house. Here's a couple pre grind pics:
I filmed the one he actually did so there isn't much to show besides snow actually being here in SC, but the video was pretty sweet and will definitely pop up in SOMO.
My work schedule is going to be a little weird but i think I'm sessioning Sunday, so holler at me.
Also, Mcmanus and I are shooting a new park edit tomorrow and I'm going to find a way to get that online so be on the lookout for it.
